Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Well despite the horrendous gusty wind today I got the maiden flights done on my Sport Cub with a new DA 50 under the cowl. The low was rich on the maiden which I corrected after landing. I had to add a flap to elevator mix to control pitch up as well.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

It was a handful in the gusts, especially with the down drafts and rotors coming off of the trees.

I tried a tray once and was sold. They are comfortable once set up and offer good protection for the radio.

Oh, was that someone else's that was in your shop? Perhaps you were building or repairing for someone? I'm positive there was one there when I visited.
