Randy, is the 116 coming via Lorne? Are you getting stock or MTW headers?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I had 2 of the 58 cc sold one but kept the other exhaust makes a huge difference on these don't even bother with a muffler the one I kept spins a 24x10 mejlik at 7200 with an td 75 it was limited to 6800 switch exhaust between motors results moved with pipe

I have a set of evolution cans that should work and want to see what happens with the hype pipes
These seem to like to breathe a little more than most have to see what Trevor comes up with I hear kola in USA put a 30x13 on one and got 5700

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Absolutely Randy. The test stand doesn't have a busy schedule after the new year, so we'll have to arrange something.

Frankly the 116 still boggles my mind... the 3W110cs and Mintor110 are already a challenge to balance in the latest ARFs due to their weight and the 116 is heavier. I just don't get what the MVVS engineers were thinking. Was weight not a consideration in the design? Or is it good to be heavier to dampen vibes? Does weight add to longevity or quality? Confused. Somebody help me understand!!!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I don't know why the weight but can attest to longevity one of my 58 was over 10 years old can't count gallons through it well over 100 other is newer maybe 45 on before it was put on shelf only problem was user induced (bearing on bottom of connecting rod and a set of reeds that warped on winter both engines were used hard my GPS 123 has an issue but Fergie and Lorne are going above and beyond figured send it in for warranty but they at nope complete replacement engine gives da a run in service department and only 75 minutes from my house can't beat that
