According to the Jeti Guru (John) I likely got an Rx with the old firmware. I updated the Tx firmware as instructed, which probably reduced the chances of the two talking to each other fully. Everything else seems to program fine except the Fail-safe.

Apparently there are some appropriate # of channel Rxs of their way. The R18 I brought home is way overkill for any of the planes I fly.

In short, the closer the build date the better the odds that the firmware is compatible. I think!

That`s something that irks me with Jeti....it should come with a 16 channel RX included..be it overkill or not.....The others come with a compatible RX`s....

Your in good hands.
No doubt (see I spelt it like you) you will enjoy your new radio.
Hope you fly lots this year. I fully expect my fuel burn count will drop this year.

Even a neck strap would have been nice! Looks kind of funny with a Spektrum DX8 one on it!

The thing I always wondered is why any Tx manufacturer would program any Tx/Rx to go to last position in the event of the failsafe kicking in, why not program it to go to neutral on the control surfaces and low idle! Engineers!
