Same thing almost happened at tofield. airport was shut down for an rc event and a full scale plane buzzed the runway at 60' high when rc planes were flying. ever since I have felt rc planes and full scale airports don't mix

That was 2 or 3 years ago.
It was found that the full scale pilot decided to do a low fly by without clearing with the field boss first ( guy on the radio ) field boss tried to call him off, but he wasn't listening.
And the full scale pilot had a passenger with him to....

I heard about the tofield incident. I never followed up to determine if the full scale pilot was charged....but he should have been. Unless he declared an emergency and had to land the airport was closed by notam for the r/c event.
