Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I filled my 10 liter jug 5 or 6 times.
But no big motors. A fuel mizer zdz 112 and my GP61. Then a couple dozen flights on the dle 120 in the late fall.

Very well. I'm happy with it so far. It's smooth, consistent, easy to tune.
Took a dozen flights or so for it to start to wake up. Started with a Falcon 28x9 . Now I have the Falcon 28x9 wide on it. Pulls hard. Rips like hell when you let it. I'm just running the stock mufflers on it. Very quiet for stocks.
Andy got one for his Pilot Edge. I don't think he got 10 flights on it yet before the weather set in.
Guys are reporting it happily swings a 29x9.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Brad would it be safe to say it is right in the EME-120 range. For both power & user friendliness?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I guess yeah.
The eme is smooth and easy to run as well.
But I think the DLE has a bit more power

The dle stock mufflers are quieter than the eme stock mufflers.
Banville has the eme on pipes in his Bipe. It works well on the pipes.
Haven't had or seen the dle on pipes yet.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I was actually thinking of an EME-120. 2 reasons. First to have an engine to run-in this spring. 2, install it in my Hanger 9 Extra that has lived in a box in my garage for three years.

.
Sounds like a good plan to me. You fly at the Farm. EME is there.
