Speaking of Santa, I opened the door tonight to go for supper and there was a package sitting there... seems like he knew I wanted a new cowl for my edge. On a completely unrelated note, it seems like Fibertech and More is continuing to supply the same quality product that Stans Fibertech was known for.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Oh my!!.... 3hrs away from this and 4 pages behind!!

Cory... now that is a COOL motor!!! There is simply nothing better than a radial, LOL!!

My additional learnings from tonight's catch-up....
1) Burns Lake is a place I must see
2) Ken is a very cool guy
3) I really need to buy a retirement home on the south-side of Burns Lake

4) There's way more to it than power to weight
5) I now believe in Santa!

It really does sound best at an idle, but this is the only video I've got of it... Thanks Dan-O.

There's not much covering left on the corner of the rudder from all the tail touches. Wish we had a play pond, but that's our geotextile runway. Attached a pic of me pretending to pond dip! But you have given me an idea. We have depression at the field known at the "heli pit". Maybe I could talk the other members into flooding it next spring! That would be a hoot!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I decided to look up Burns Lake... Too far West to ever consider being part of the Eastern Mafia, LOL!!

Question... Has anyone ever driven up to Whitehorse and Fairbanks and Anchorage?? That Hwy 37 and Alaskan Hwy looks like one heck of a drive. Anything to see or just bush?.
