Jim, true, or the ZDZ 180 route.
But what do we work for, to buy toys. Really depends on where your dreams/goals are set.
I believe there are airframes that are all about pride and wow factor. At some point I hope everyone gets to enjoy their dream set-up.
Jack is doing what is best for Jack (on this one).
I sure hope my long term dream arrives in a timely manner. Which just happens to be a ZDZ 180 something. Which is a few different airframes at this point.

Not a *in hope on muffs or cans Jim on those 2 props. Perhaps on pipes.

I will test mine on RE3's

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Did some searching Jim. Jack.M's DA 170 on RE3's swung a Mejzlik 30x13L@6250. That prop swings at least 250 rpm less than a 31/12L. So it's at least 250 rpm less than what MVVS claims and the MVVS is only on cans.

Of course I will have to prove that now!

Darn Jack I wish we lived closer, as when I lived in Grande Cache. A 2 hr trip once a month on a Saturday would be fun.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Just as we both started out. Jack called me. Poor road. Raining/ice. And not a great forecast to follow. Now I'm looking at the weather radar, starting to get concerned about Arlene's trip home from Edmonton later this afternoon.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Yes Dale, this whole system was moving east.

I braved it again 9:30 and took the wife to town. 2 rollovers where I first got nervous and 6 more in the ditch...close to town a rear ender and 2 more in the ditch.

I drive lots in all conditions and not much un-nerves me but, when the truck
starts to drift on its own and when I let off on the accelerator a little it kicked the other way I'd had enough!!

If Dale is up too it and the weather behaves somewhat we will try tomorrow!

Always another day!!

I have to ask about your sig. Virginia?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Darn, forgot for sure. Had something to do with Christmas.
Originally it was
Yes, Hanes there is a Santa. He must have been cranky on something. I changed it to the famous saying shortly after, as not to offend Hanes. About the time I offered to smooth over the lack of friend status.

Man, I'm dragging around here today. BLAH. . . .

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I'm going to dig out another ARF, for my little MVVS26 I think. Give it a look over.
