Thank goodness you were able to find some.!
When we talked on the phone, he was really against sending me a set because he said I could be in the air same day and for 1/3 the price if I just got a set of snowmobile reeds. He sure was a nice guy on the phone. But from our chat, he doesn't seem like a tech-savy email guy, LOL!!!

Hey Dale,

I've been quietly sitting back and enjoying the bandying back and forth between east and west.

I see that you have been stirring it up again, and even braving the blizzards in the quest of another great deal.

Good for you! Hope Santa is good to you at Xmas, you old fart!.

Regards,

Dennis

Dale... the 160 of Andy's on pipes is a monster!! And super reliable. His 160 was only 300rpm shy of my 180 on the same pipes! I'd put his 160 up against a GP176evo anyday since the 176evo couldn't hold a candle to the 180 on the same pipes in the same plane.

My BME58 is running like a charm. I had a reed pedal break on it, but just went to Royal Distributing and bought a new CF reed and it runs great! A simple $35 repair. Runs like a swiss watch on the ES Composites tuned pipe Again, very smooth, but not very powerful.

Still decent power:weight for both... lightest motors on the planet!

Not good! I'd likely be saying the same if it was a part I couldn't get off the shelf. My BME58 will be going in my 26cc GeeBee with a really small prop and we'll see if I can blow it up, LOL!! The motor that is

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Any info on the GP fix or fixtion yet?

Some still claim there's more issues than just the dumb designed reed cage...just what I read on the net...so who knows if it's true....just askin'!
