Forget that Ultralight stuff..... it's over played ( LOL sorry brad).. POWER!@

I so want to try and build a carden!

EDIT Get Wingus' MVVS, he won't use it, doesn't even know what plane to put it on. By time he does, you will have sold the airframe and have the engine back to him! That sort of thing happens in the golden years

Three Options I see, all with Pros and Cons...

1) Make it an ultralight with the GP123 on ES Pipes - would be a great challenge, but min weight will only be around 32lbs and it'll be tough to get the CG correct with that long tail

2) Lighten it up and put an MVVS190 quad on the front - super smooth and quiet, but a bit heavier than I'm used to.

3) Default to the ZDZ180 on pipes... pretty tough to beat the power and reliability and I could get it in around 36.5lbs, so another missle like the VW Edge was. But I've already done this. Need to try different things

I'm leaning towards #2 or #3. I just wish there was more testing/videos/results of the MVVS190
P.M. sent titled ZDZ 160 B2 RV-J
(3.5 oz lighter than a 180)

Hanes --- absolutely nothing beats the Ultralight stuff They almost defy gravity But the massive 126" Cardens are soo long that a light little ZDZ112 or GP123 would make it a real challenge to balance and it'd only come in around 32lbs vs Brad's at 26lbs. Would be a cool challenge, but Brad's Slick or a 40% Carden is more suited for the ultralightened treatment I think!!

LOL!! I have rubber arms here!!!

I've had the Mintor220, 3W220CS and played with the DLE222 and numerous DA200's. The only one I'm missing out on is the MVVS190 Beautiful motors and ultra smooth/refined. My only concern is the weight, but a custom Carden with cutty-cutty can negate most of this

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

The word is "HAD"
How many singles, twins or even 5/7 bangers do you have Right NOW?
...... Now how many Quads? let me guess. Zero

Laying a beating to Burner's Stuff = priceless (you have had this pleasure before )

And if the MVVS is a turd... we have the smelters/ crushers etc to fix about anything. It's good to live out near the east!
