The thing about sleep-in day, you still get up at 4-5. Those young ones think we are crazy. Only if they knew how aging will effect them too.

Groceries, check later.

Great explanation Doug!

Hanes, you're the beta testor for the v3-222...

Get that MVVS fired up Trevor....from what we've read the torque curve is simply awesome on those cylinders!!
Ya.. Not sure how the 224 will be. The rotary valve is the thing that sells me with the ZDZ's. By the way... Had my 112 out last week and what a jem of a motor! Had to lean it out again. I'd say it'd give the EME120 a serious run now. Still not GP/3W/DA power, but insanely smooth and linear. Rivals the EME for low vibs! Still tied for my favorite motor beside the GP123 just for different reasons

I bet the 224 will be buttermilk smooth!!

BTW.... I'd love a 224 also

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

So far the 222 V3 is doing good, more power than the old one and I have not seen one report of a failure yet. Even VVRC who would not sell the V2 after the failures with the V1 is selling the V3. As for me I am still watching and waiting. There are a couple down in the southern states that are getting a bunch of fuel through them and are still doing good. They are spinning big props too which is what would break the old ones.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

An actual engine question......

I am fitting the ZDZ112 to the motor box. Easy to do when everything is open.
The brass fuel nipple is in a bad spot.
You can see it is lined up with the firewall and the fuel tubing would have to make a sharp bend against the wood.
Can this brass tube be rotated ? With fear of it coming loose later or sucking air ?
