Brad they do all break...just the frequency difference...perhaps once every 4-5 years something needed with quality engines, perhaps a re-build....not from the minute you open the box from the junk engines!!

Power Band?? My engine has dual power band
I couldn't care less about being really scientific, but its abundantly clear that some here do!!! A good for-instance test would be the temperature at idle, half throttle and full throttle. Another, that Jack eluded to is the Torque peak (he used the term "torque curve"). And while not real important but should be considered is fuel consumption.

True, we are talkin' about Toy airplane engines. No one is going to make a living with these things. However forums like this one can/do influence peoples choices down the road.

Dual power band huh! What ya doin', running it backwards to back up?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

LOL! Just caught up!

Brad... All the testing in the world wouldn't convince these guys how strong the EME's and GP's and ZDZ's are!! I'm most impressed with the level of service at TBM for the MVVS, LOL!!

Now if you guys bought a quality product from Jeff, Lorne or Michel you'd be flying already

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Spent the afternoon out flying with a big chunk of the Eastern Mafia (LOL ).. A few things from our "testing" that doesn't need a dyno to verfy!...

1) The ZDZ112 is one of the sweetest motors ever made. Not GP-power, but insanely smooth and linear and so mild-mannered!!

2) The EME60 and GP61 are forces to be reckoned with Anyone that would buy a DA60 needs some bolts tightened in their heads, with such smooth potent alternatives, LOL
