Very nice Doug, I had the little brother 4 years ago in the same scheme when they had first come out

It flew awesome. Only problem at that time was a lack of engines to really pull it around. With smoke it was 19.5 lbs . 18.5 without.
with todays 60 cc class engines, it would be an awesome plane.

Morn' dale.

My 3dhs comments has ruffled some feathers. My bad

For the record , It is built like tissue paper and has crap hinges and no hard points behind them. These are known facts. BUT Like I said before, I own several !
They do fly nice
When this one goes in, there won't be anything left for my kids to work over

The 100cc birds are built stronger. Example The 100cc Ef extra has so much carbon almost looks like a trev build (can't comment on 3dhs that size. Lorne hasn't cut me a good enough deal yet to own one )

As For handing "3dhomieBrodie" his arse
. That's still on like donkey kong

Just caught up also. Very sad news Jack. Would love to see that 222 V3 perform. Wonder if they also trimmed the weight down on the V3... The earlier versions were heavy if you look at weight spreadsheet of Hanes.

Wow when following this thread if you sleep in it is not a case of catching up on a few posts. It is more like 4 pages.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Jack... The 222 V3 was on my short list but couldn't find any solid weight specs so went with the MVVS because it is second lightest. Michel told me the ZDZ224 will be right on 11lbs so middle of the pack for weight. I'm sure the 224 will be a killer motor!! Michel told me late January arrival, but we all know how motor production dates slip, LOL... I couldn't wait that long
