For sure Trevor. I talked to Dany and he wasn't very optimistic about the release date. In fact TBM is taking pre-orders but say 6-9 months. So looks a bit iffy to me!

You bought the better engine Trevor!!!

Time will tell Jack! The DA200L is the lightest and runs so nice. I just don't like the lack of torque. Hoping the MVVS is better in that respect, but if the MVVS isn't the DA is a tough motor to pass up if you keep the props small.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Jack... In my boredom at the inlaws (LOL), I watched a few videos of the 175np... It sure hauls a 32x12 Mej around with authority I'm kinda worried the 190quad will be less powerful than the 175, LOL!!

My arse is enroute, LOL! Big day of testing tomorrow

Sounds like the DLE222 has also gone on a diet, eh?

Wow, I go do 3hrs work at the A&W. Sell 2 X 50cc airframes, ha-ha.
Not that my plans change much. Just got some room back.

The funny part is this sale involved a component of storage! (Karma)

I got the motor back from Johnny at Azure Hobbies and he said that the only thing they could see was one of the spark plug threads almost completely gone. They replaced the cylinder and piston and supposedly ran it for 5 minutes on the test stand. Apparently all is now well (but you can tell that I am less than totally convinced.....) I'll put it on the test stand before it goes on an airframe. I am putting the DA200 on the Dalton though. A bit lighter and still more than enough grunt for IMAC

I have heard some good things about the DLE222v3. Brent Bullen was at a late season IMAC contest in Phoenix and was telling me that several of the guys are using them and are very happy. Mine is a v2 and has been a very good motor (up iuntil the latest incident). The v2 that I borrowed from Brent B. to get through the rest of the season was dead nuts reliable as well. I really don't have anything bad to say about the motor.

Thank-you Lorne.
Brodie, slow down. Looking for the large size for my 160, & 180. I do appreciate the offer. Best you stay on your toes for Hanes. Sounds like you, and him are center stage this week-end.

If you make the ignore list, I'll buy you lunch, ha-ha!
