Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

We'll boys. Wasn't a good day for our GP61's (Brad's and mine). Happy to say it was user error! Brad and my 61's were perfectly tuned in the warm weather but today's cooler temps and a lack of richening of the needles caused 1 dead stick for Brad and 2 for me. Brad didn't fair so well.. Lost a LG. I came out unscathed except for a loose glue joint on the CF Skiis.

We should have adjusted the needles Lots of warning but too excited to fly, LOL

Good news is I got in some serious stress testing on the new CF Skiis and super stocked how well they stood up! Brad has some video of the stress test, LOL!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Should have wished for the "Burner Tuning tips" booklet for Christmas.

Sad to hear though. I exercised my repair skills last fall. Still two in the Garage that need the Love before spring. Good place to try the latest/greatest Alphatic resin.

Just the landing gear itself broke. No damage to the plane. Didn't even wrinkle the covering LOL
It was the second flight of the day. Flew awesome. Then on the second flight, Trev and I both were flying it. Was coming down in a harrier when the engine quit. Dropped from about 20 ft flat onto the landing gear. Broke both legs off.
With both of us flying it, and we had actually flown quite a while. I thought it probably ran out of fuel. When I pulled the hatch........ still had 2/3 of a tank left. Was definitely to lean for the outside temperature.

Lorne ....... I need an Edge landing gear
