Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Well boys... Scott's mighty MVVS58 has been removed from the box this AM Scott and I met and I now have the KS Header for it. I'll start a new thread tomorrow AM.

Plan will be to run it on open header for baseline (I don't have a canister) and then we'll do some headerlength testing on the ES Composites Pipe.

It's a porky motor, but sexy beyond compare By Scott going ES pipe it'll offset some of the heft and after flying the 3DHS Edge, I'm certain the extra weight won't be felt.

The big Q now... how does it stand up to the DA60/EME60/GP61/3W55cs ????!!!!!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I have ran my MVVS 58 on a RE2 and ES pipes. The RE was smoother IMHO. I was pulling shy of 7200 on a 24x10 or 24x8 laminated XOAR (Can't remember which prop). These engines take awhile to run in and turns into a different engine with time. It will be interesting to see your numbers.

As for the weight I have the worst combination possible. An AW Edge and a 58. Flys like crap and a real porky. Probably to fat to fly for the guys from the Middle East. But it was a gift from my wife. So it has to die on its own.
