Jimmy, you are so like Brodie. Proof read your shitt. It effects your first impression to most.

Ha-ha.

Fly indoors, go to Florida fly Team Pro R/C. Open your mind, great results could be yours.

Dale,

I'm NOT a RICH farmer who can afoard to jet set to Florida on a whim and don't have a stash of airplanes there to fly.

I was flying indoor but lately been working 14hr days and the last thing I want to do on a Friday night after working that long all week is goback out into the cold, try and get an indoor plane from the car to the gym in 40k winds at 22h00!

You'll see I did catch my mistake and fixed it but obviousluy NOT before you quoted me.

Does Lorne fly indoor floatplanes out of his pool in Florida?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I hear you man. I have flown 1 flight on Dec 26th. That's it since first week of October. Just last eve I got a real desire to fly. Checked the 14 day trend, well that's out until Lorne is back (Feb 15th).
Might do a little engine run-in time. One of my winter hobbies. Need a new engine stand, last one hit the bin (excessive oily).

Indoor float planes, that sounds fun. But I picture a lot of Rum involved, well maybe just enough Rum.

In the Immortal words of Cap'n Jack Sparrow....

"Rhum's gone? Why is the Rhum always gone?"

Dale have you tried using pressure treated wood for the engine stand?

Trev's is just made out of 3/4" plywood and has stood up to many, many, many engines over the last 2, 3 or 4 years, I've lost track!

Lorne is in Florida again? Besides ProRC, what does he do?

Jeff, kind words again (thank-you).

I do like Jimmy's line "why is the Rhum always gone?" Oh I had my day, Rum it was.

Jeff I'm working on a Hot-Dog fun-fly for the 15th. Might suggest everyone dig through their box of engines. Find a loose one for yet another assembly before spring, AeroPlus stuff. Nice ARF's.

We should do a club build month. Those that want to participate, start/finish an ARF in the month of March. That would blast that month past (fast). Then trim them all out before our Show & Shine May 10th week-end.

What say you?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Jim, my engine run-stand was my old folding garage table. Time to build a real stand. Lorne did one, same as Trevors. We use it often, another nice touch. Thank-you Pro R/C.

I am not in florida yet. Wed. I need to go and paint and renovate the house I bought. Florida houses are about 1/3 the cost of a house around here.

I have worked 70 - 100 hours a week for 15 years and finally getting ahead a little. Old mortgage was almost paid off so I made a new one to pay for the house in florida.

When my dad passed away It dawned on me that if I keep working 7 days a week I will miss out on life's pleasures. Kind of changed my attitude overnight so to speak.

We live a bellow average life style financially speaking. I bought the house in florida for an investment and to get on track towards my dreams.

The house only costs the price of two diesel trucks and is 2200 sq feet 4 bedroom with pool and family room that can be used as a 5th bedroom.

You won't find me driving a new diesel truck anytime soon
Anyone want to rent it LOL
