Easy Brodie.
Mark on your fuel can each time you fill it. I will this year. I use a 20 litre can to purchase from the station in. Then mix at the field. I also use a separate can for only models, keep it in the basement of the bus. Filled that baby 10 times last year. But I won't get near that this year.

Great idea Dale!!

This will be my first full season in Gas and last year, between repairs and bumming fuel, I think I had about 20 litres burned at the end. (Thank You John, Mario, Brad and Andy who donated fuel at inopportune times..!!)

This year I hope to hit 50, same as Brodie has called his estimate, I think that is reasonable for a 60 and a 58.

I am at 4 already, and no intention yet of hitting 100cc this year. (we know how that can change tho!)

The last 3 days were awesome and hoping for more real soon!!

Scott

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Exactly Scott.
The number means nothing to anybody but you. But by putting a number in print. We kind of keep track in the back of our mind.

3 years ago, neighbouring club members said Dale you hardly fly anymore. The next year I flew a lot, and got bigger engines. At our fall fun-fly Dave H asked me, gee how much did you burn this year? 80L that year, people said I flew like crazy! Then last year I flew a couple of big twins, the fuel BURNT! 20L last year. 100L in the Sukhoi alone.

You electric types all fill a log. Easy for you guys. Total watthours equals power consumed. All we have is Fuel.

I hope to make it out again Tuesday afternoon. You probably seen my tracks up the hill today.

You need to charge with a gen set. Easy tracking.

I am shooting big this year. 500L is the goal. But realistically 50-80L would be nice.

Jeff, I thought you would have said something like "Tracking electrics is like timing your Razor"

(laughing again!)

When the snow is gone brodie. I figure 45% airframes would never survive a landing off runway
