Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Right now I'm doing the parenting duties waiting for a phone call. This darn rain is putting a hold on my gravy train well 40 mins from home. I was hoping it will keep me busy till my fishing trip at the end of June lol

You mean the bridge and associated road work that has had traffic screwed up for the last 5 years.

Yes it is a bit better but not enough and too late. We still need a bypass route. The divided highway to the sites needs to upgraded to at least 3 lanes each way instead of just 2 each way. One little fender bender and traffic comes to a standstill 30 or 40 miles long. There have been days when I get off work at 7:30 and don't get home until 6 hours later.

Time to go out and figure out how to load Dales goodies so they make the trip undamaged.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

The GP threads are sure getting entertaining on FG. People are getting pissed. Especially on the GP61 thread. So many of them cannot get the carb to tune and even the dealers are fighting with each other. Almost as fun as reading the Mintor threads a year ago.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

LOL!!! I noticed that Doug!!!

There should be a Carb-Tuning manual published on there so they can figure out what each screw does and when to turn it, LOL. Or better yet, when not to turn it

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Thanks to guys I went and read 10 pages of the FG GP thread. I normally don't waste much time on that type of crap. But this one is entertaining. The best part was Fergus telling some customer he did want him to have any of his product. On a public forum none the less. It is kinda like a train wreck. You know you should look but you can't stop yourself.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Exactly Jeff I just have to keep looking even though I don't have a horse in the race.

Trev there is more to it than that, there are too many having issues plus Valleyview has been testing other carbs to find which ones work better so there is obviously a problem. They are not going to go to the trouble of testing a bunch of carbs if there was not a problem. One of the guys in the states that is also in the business bought one off of Kole and ended up getting a refund because he could not get it running right so Kole told him to send it back.

There has been stuff going on for some time that has been kept off the forums that I have been aware of for some time. It was only a matter of time before it came to the surface and public.
