Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread

I have heard of a few die hards flying DLG's in the Montreal area recently. They may be a bit sick but if they are having fun great.

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread

My Evolution W DLG have finally tasted the air. It was a challenging but fun build. I've learned plenty of new techniques by building this woody.

AUW 310 g, sink rate 0.36 m/s, my launches were around 30 m today (rubber boots and winter coat).

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread

What do you use for charging your 1S batteries?

I have a small eflite charger that works on 110V (or 6V DC) input. I'd like something that could work from 12-14 VDC or from a 3S lipo.

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread

I've got a couple of older versions of the Turnigy Accucell chargers that have worked very well. The 80W version is only a few $ more. Good for e-launch glider batteries as well, and the newer ones do high voltage LiPos as well. 11 to 18V input.

The Evolution looks great!

Edit: I use a 12V, 1A wall wart to power it for charging small batteries at low currents at home.

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread

Hum, the Turnigies are out of stock at the moment.

I have this charger. It comes with a wall charger. On charger is written "6V input only" so can't plug it in the car.

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread

Supposedly in stock here, and a $1.25US shipping option to Canada (?!)

https://www.multirotorsuperstore.com...y-charger.html

Or maybe check with ProRc in Alberta and see if they know when they might have stock:

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread

Whaaaat's happening? No posts for DLG's in three months? Hopefully it's because members are too busy flying! : )

Re: DLG/HLG Gliders Thread

Yup, DLG is very quiet. I get out 5-6 times a week. Work from home so it's easy. Picked up an Osiris carbon tow. Loving the ease of slapping in a 350mah 2s and toss away for 90+ minutes. Able to fly at any time because it's always in the car.
