Phantom Prop Guards?

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I saw someplace that DJI is now selling prop guards for the Phantom. Does anyone know where I can purchase a set of these.
Does anyone here have a set of these guards and do they do the job?
It looks to me that these are just what is needed, especially for protection of upgraded, less forgiving propellers that in the future I may install on my P.
Which brings me to the other question, are there good replacement props out there and where can they be purchased?
Thanks guys.

Re: Phantom Prop Guards?

Prop guards should be available at flitelab. The stock prop adapters on the Phantom suck IMO. They have the two flat sides so you need the DJI props or others reamed out to 8mm. The replacement T-motors have the same adapter. I replaced the motors with tiger 980 kv motors with regular prop adapters. I'm using graupner 9x5 at the moment but I have some 8x5's to try also. Graupners are a good prop but it needs to be reamed out to 8mm to fit on the stock motors.
