Re: Missile with a man in it - an Avonds F-104 build thread
Mannn... I'm glad that I finally got a chance to catch up on this thread Sean. Awesome job on the build, thread and documentation. I've never built from a kit, but this makes me glad that I haven't done any build threads on any of my ARFs
Hmmmm... Maybe I should just have my L-39 drop-shipped to your place and you could put it together during a couple of your Red Bull breaks. Keep up the good stuff.

Haha, thanks Steve. Not much progress this week. Did get the outer inlets added this afternoon and prepped for glassing next week.

Re: Missile with a man in it - an Avonds F-104 build thread
Hi Sean, I was trying to figure out what the green masking tape was doing on the opposite side from where you were fiberglassing? I am assuming that you do this to prevent having to clean up any excess resin that sometimes drips from the edges. I haven't fiberglassed that many flying surfaces (yet) but if I'm right, I'm going to file this tip away for future use!

Re: Missile with a man in it - an Avonds F-104 build thread
Well on F-111's we and the manual used to call it a strake. But on the B737 Wedgetail AEW&C aircraft from memory the manual/mod drawaings just called them ventral fins.
