This is a picture of my shipping box, this is for a 2 meter pattern model, and will be going to Australia on Wednesday as my luggage for some competitions. I have used boxes like this to take planes all over Canada, the USA, and to Ireland, France, Poland, Colombia, Argentina, South Africa....its 1/8" ply and 1x3 spruce cut in half. I use a Makita Li-ion handsaw, an air nailer with staples, poly U glue, and some foam from Home Depot.

Easy to build and does the job, maybe $60 in materials.

Man! I've got to get into F3A pattern! It's a lot easier to travel with those puppies!

Had a seller say he wouldn't ship some transmitter parts. I sent him a bubble pack, pree-addressed and stamped and said I'd take responsibility for damage. No problem, got the parts and fixed my transmitter. Cost a lot less than driving 120 km to pick up the parts.
