Crap That's not good at all. I haven't yet upgraded to V3 and will hold off doing so until the program is stable. Lately I've been experimenting more with different patterns and making multi layered or shadowed graphics. Once you go beyond simple single coloured graphic, they really seem to pop and begin to look quite professional. I'm still very much enjoying the machine, but software issues and support are frustrating.

Re: Vinyl Graphics Cutters

I got the same answer "Check back in a week". I suspect it will be much longer than that.

Re: Vinyl Graphics Cutters

I see there is a new revision out released April 16. Not sure if I want to be the one to try it yet.

LOL, wait till you start looking at some of the first graphics you did. You will think, I can do better than that. Next you will be replacing those earlier graphics with new ones using those nice layering and shadowing effects like I did. It is a never ending cycle.

Re: Vinyl Graphics Cutters

After reading about this cutter on here I decided to try one out. I've only tried some basic numbers and letters but it seems to be working great. I'm using the Mac software with the connect to Adobe Illustrator and that is letting me save and import the cut files.
A lot to learn so I'll be following along on here too.

The guy who was cutting remotely using the SD card is still having problems with the latest revision and has gone back to V2.9.
I am sure things will be resolved in the end.

Update.
I just read he has his problems solved. The new version doesn't completely wipe out the previous version. He had to manually reset the latest version to factory defaults and delete a file from V2.9
A clean install wouldn't have this problem.

Re: Vinyl Graphics Cutters

Got annoyed today when the sign company I called said it would be 2-3 weeks before he could cut my temporary registration marks for my RV-8, standard 12" letters....
so what to do... I know, go buy a Cameo Silhouette at Michaels.

All I can say is wow... the longest part was installing the software, a quick test cut and I was looking at my new registration marks in under 30 minutes. Can't say it was that quick when I first setup my Flexi-sign/Summa Graphics setup 18 years ago, too bad we cant use Corel Draw.. Has anyone mastered importing with the limited Cameo software?

For the money its well worth it, looking forward to customizing my gasser fleet!!
