Kyosho Nitro Viper to Brushless Conversion.

Hey guys.. I have this OLD Kyosho Nitro Viper GT that hasn't ran in a LONG time.
I got it running this past summer, and I assume the prop I had on it was a little too big because it didn't have much power and it also had nitro slime spewing out of the crank case near flywheel area.
So I pulled the Engine to try and figure out the spewing issue.. I started looking at replacement motors and then decided "F**K it! There is room in this boat to do an Electric conversion".
And so, That's what I'm doing. There was a big crack in the sub hull, so I filled it up with epoxy and made a new mounting plate for the rear tray where the servo's mount.
Anyway.. I have quite a few 3s 2200mAh LiPo's. 3x 4s 1800mAh (Same physical size as the 3s 2200's And I'll buy another so that I have 4.). And I also have 4x 6s 4500mAh LiPo's.
With the 3s's and 4's that I have, I know I can fit two in parallel where the fuel tank is supposed to sit. So I'll have the choice of running 3s or 4s.
Thing is, I may also be able to use the 6s LiPo's I have on the way as well! But then I run into the problem of motor selection..
I plan on running the Traxxas Villain EX Left Prop (Traxxas #1584) and it's about 1.8" or ~45mm? No Idea what the pitch is.. Or a Traxxas Spartan Prop (Traxxas #5733) Which is 42mm x 59mm.
So anyway, Motor selection...
2300kv for the 3s and 4s would put me between 25k - 33k RPM Max. 6s = 51k RPM Max.
Or a 1800kv for the 6s netting me ~39k RPM Max. Or 1500kv 6s = ~33k RPM Max.
Not really too sure what a good RPM would be for that size of prop. But I'm leaning towards the 2300kv motor and starting out with the 3s then trying the 4s. I don't want STUPID fast where it flips over all the time, I would just like enough speed to have a wee bit of 'Awe' factor.. Ya know? :P
Anyway.. Feel free to chime in guys! I'll be sure to post up pictures in the second post of my progress! I'll be ordering the ESC and motor in a few weeks. (Not really any rush.. Can't boat on frozen water.... lol)
