If you are looking for an Administrative club only that seeks out locations to have events could be a good or bad idea, the concept is great but geographically and to get everyone talking together might be tough.
We have gone from a few events to no events back to a few very good events, Wingham, Thunderthrust, Forest, Goderich, Smith Falls, Michigan and 2 others close by in New York and PA. Not bad for 3-5hr drive
I originally built the relationship with Wingham it was slow but effective, trust and safety was most important and it worked, I'm doing the same out here with the Sparwood Airport. I think if more Jet guys got out and visited these small very lightly used airports they might be surprised with the results.
Once the relationship is secured more events more places to fly.
blairs got everything running quite smoothly with wingham and MAAC angus. from what i've heard the aircadets are leaving so the weekends will be ours to fly there. we did lose one hangar as the heli crop duster guy bought it but other then that status quo is the order of the day.
