Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

Registration numbers removed. Used a # 11 blade to lift one corner and then used a q tip and acetone to remove the decal. Used lacquer thinner to remove the leftover adhesive.
Now I have to cut new registration letters. New registration will be C-FJKT.
Pics of the full size are on DHC2 #1023. Hanger 9 is similar in colour. Will have to add red wingtips. Also lots of wrinkles to iron on the fuse.

Jason L.,
Did a mock-up with the 12 volt halogen lights this morning. Won't be using those, they sure do get hot even when flashing . Measured the temp between 45 and 50 C. Couldn't even touch the reflector it was that hot.
Will be looking at other options.

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

Was wondering how big the cowl is..Saito has a 30 cc radial and was wondering if the cowl would handle it..

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

thanks doug..Looks like the radial is out of the question being it is 7 inches round which most likely would hit in the front ..SUCH BEAUTIFULL ENGINES but never can fit them in to anything not unless you do a special build.....

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

The Saito FG33R3 will fit in this airplane. There are couple examples on some of the other forums if you search them.

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

Well: if you really wanted to. You could use the radial engine to depict the beaver MKII. Had an Alvis Leonides engine. was a production airplane, so still scale; but you might want to change the tail so that no-one will know.
