I have recently acquired this ASP .61 4 stroke. A couple of questions. There are 3 ports on the engine, one at the carb, one on the exhaust and one on the bottom of the engine near the prop, what is this one used for? What is a good prop size for this engine.

My plan is to put this engine on a plane my grandfather built. I have no idea what it is other than is has about a 60 inch wing and only rudder and elevator.

Re: New to 4 stroke.

Bottom one is the oil bypass, you should put a tube on this and lead it out the bottom of the plane. You also use this tube to put "after run" in to keep the bearings lubricated.

The one on the muffler goes to the tank overflow, it's used to provide muffler pressure to the tank to keep fuel at positive pressure to the carb.

The one on the carb well... is to feed the fuel to the engine.

Hope this helps.
