Re: Wow !

Cool but if that would end up being the street price it is a little steep for what it is

Re: Wow !

If that gimbal is a drop-in fit (there are two connectors at the rear of the main board which seem to be tied to the gyro) to the existing 350's, I will be interested. I know that a half decent gimbal is not cheap and some of them, that have no more features than that one, are outrageously priced. I'm keeping a close eye on the gimbal as I already have the 350.

Re: Wow !

cool but for 1K theres so many other things I would buy first. It only comes with a DX4 and so far no camera beats the go pro in my eyes for small cameras.

Re: Wow !

Quite honestly the Blade is great at what it does, but there's no way they could/should ask anywhere near a g-note for a 350.
I've had one of these in pieces and I was frankly staggered at the low quality sweat shop assembled internals, assembled with zero slack in cables, zero thought for a rebuild. Ok, spares are easy to get for Blade stuff around here but the internal parts prices are outrageous for what they are and unless you have the light touch of tinkerbell, you're almost bound to pull a wire or break a plug off something else during reinstall.

The Phantom is in this class and is a FAR better machine, better built and a more modular set of internals. But even so, $1k is too much for even a Phantom.... I have a Phantom, amongst other multicopters. Cost me $350 used and I stuck a $75 brushless gimbal on it. That's as much as I want to spend on a multicopter with GPS and an 8 minute flight time.

In this class of multicopters the manufacturers are preying on the newbies, which is fine so long as the newbies don't get too upset with blowing 'too much money'.
For hobbyists the Blade is nothing more than a disposable, non-upgradeable, toy.

Re: Wow !

That's a rip off. Blades stuff and HK stuff all together are cheap by avg but you always get what you pay for in this hobby. In this case you are getting less value for what they're asking.

Re: Wow !

I've flown(Instructed) "safe" with the fixed wing planes and I love it. For beginners its a blessing.

I dont think "Safe" on a quad will make much more of an improvement from the original Q350- it already had a decent GPS and RTH.

I just saw ads for the "Safe" blade helicopters- Now THAT will be a good tech feature for beginners!!!
