Looking to buy a 1/10 scale short course truck for indoor racing and what manufacturer would you suggest?

Thanks Dylan.

I recommend going out to the track you will be doing your indoor racing at and see what people are using there. Find out about where they get their parts and see what your local hobby store stocks. Getting something that's used at the local track would make it easier to ask others for assistance and potentially buy/borrow if you break something on race day.
Current models: Hobbico Nexstar Electric, Parkzone Spitfire Mk IX , several micros/small helis. Nothing nitro/gas.

Yep, what Greg said. I started out not knowing what I wanted. I stayed firmly in the bashing category. I've only recently figured out what I really like - indoor clay track.

Over the last 2 years that's taken me from ECX, to Traxxas into Losi.

Depends what you want to do and/or just how much money you're willing to burn through!
