Got the rudder, elevator, and throttle servos installed, elevator and rudder hooked up, just have to drill firewall for throttle cable, fuel lines, and then stuff a tank in. After that, switch harness, and RX/Battery! Very close to having another new addition to the fleet.

More work done on the Deullist, both LA 46s installed, working on the engine nacelles. Still not fully decided on how I'll be mounting the throttle servos, but have two plans. Just have to decide which I like better.

Nice Dave keep it up.
Question have you done any engine prep, are they both new? Are they used and dependable?
I have read different thoughts on twin engine planes, the key being that both engines should be as dependable as possible, meaning I think at least thoroughly broken in, some recommend each engine flown for a year each on the club trainer.

I chose the LA .46s because they are stupidly dependable, not super powerful, and I bought them as a pair, pretty sure they came off a twin, so perfect. I'll be doing a few ground runs, I'm sure.

Sweet. I like the colour scheme. Hmmm, might have to figure out a variation of that! lol I've got tons of white, missile red, and maroon monokote. Perhaps white base, with Maroon checkerboard and stripes.

More inspiration for you...

My 240 from back in the mid-90's. Webra Speed .40's, tuned mufflers, 9x8 APC props, Spring Air retracts. A speed demon for sure!

Had loads of fun with it.

Re: Spring building push, Pica Deullist, and GP Ultra Sport 40

I want all you guys to send your duelists to me, you don't want them anyway. I also want that Ultrasport, to go along with the one that I already have. You don't want that either.

Seriously, that ultrasport looks very nice. I have a 60 size that I need to build. Not sure what engine I'm going to use in it, but something strong, with a pipe.

I have an MVVS 45 with a pipe on my ultrasport 40, and it is a pretty good combo. The 55AX will be even better. Did you put retracts on it?

For the Duelist, a pair of 46 LA will be on the weak side, a pair of 55ax would be perfect.

Re: Spring building push, Pica Deullist, and GP Ultra Sport 40

I probably won't be keeping the 46 LA's on it for more than this season, they'll eventually be used to test fly my plans built Me-262, which will probably want more power down the road as well. The Deullist is strictly for sunday fun flying, and getting as much twin time as possible, before I fly my Top FLite DC-3, the Me-262, and the twin Turbax DF A-10 Thunderbolt I'm working on! Hopefully all 3 will be flying by the end of this summer.

The US 40 is my third Ultra Sport, had a .60 in Germany, I've got one now, with a Saito 100 for power, and it's got unlimited vertical! The OS 55 AX on the little Ultra Sport should make it a little rocket, for sure. Now I just need an Ultra Sport 1000!!!!! sigh.
