I should mention the ASK-21 micro from E-Flite. I've flown it via the hi-start, done some aero tow, but where it really shined was in light winds at the slope. Amazing little performer in light to moderate winds.

I have a set of OlyII wings mated to an unidentified fuse with full flying stab. Very good performer that picks up lift well. But for a versatile ship it's really hard to beat my 2 meter Sig Riser! It's 3rd hand to me, I've been flying it for over 10 years and it's still going strong! Thermal, slope, high start, power pod, aero tow - it's done it all and done it well!

Re: Favorite or Most Flown Glider

I'm new to soaring. I started with a used german glider. I plan to put it back together one day. I've been flying my radian pro obsessively. I've been having so much fun but I've made it a little heavier to strengthen it. I changed the angle of the horizontal stab so it doesn't pitch up at speed. I fly around Banff in some heavy winds. I'd really like to get something faster and aerobatic. I'm a bit worried about landing because where I usually fly, I have to land on the side of a hill. I want something that can dive into 50km/h winds and still be going fast.
What should I get? I'd like something just shy of 2m so I can leave it assembled.
Here is a link to my radian flying at my favourite site with light winds. It's so nice when there is lift and it feels so much more agile.

Re: Favorite or Most Flown Glider

Hey All
I'm relatively new to gliders, last couple of years. First was a HK ASK-21(sorry foam). Decent bird to start with. Learned to thermal with it. Has to be powered as no slopes near me. Now have a Windrider Swift, again foam. This sucker is a blast and quick. Can fly around like mad doing arco's or just float in one spot. No flaps but can bring it in slow enough to grab out of the air.
Also have a Flyfly Fox, I know I know cheap thing but not going to spend huge bucks yet. Want to get another Fg one later 3m or under if I can find one. Either way I'm enjoying them.
