One thing I don't like about the E-Flite electric retracts is that there is no way to move the legs WITHOUT the use of the radio system and retract controller.

It would be nice if you could disengage the jack screw drive to move the gear for maintenance. Or, if the retract controller had buttons to run it without the radio.

Still, the gear run smoothly and the system is much simpler than an air retract.

I've used a servo tester to actuate smaller sized E-Flite servoless landing gear. Would that not work with the set for this bird?

any updates on the spit? Would love to hear how the engine runs, and if you had to add any ballast to the nose. There is one going together in Sioux this winter!
