For some reason I switched from channel 7 and tried using 9 instead and it worked right away. Weird

You have your smoke switch in channel 9 now?

Maybe something else was already assigned to control channel 7, maybe the outputs were switched in the Rx programming such that CH7 coming into the Rx was not actually being output on port 7.

Re: graupner/sj mz-24 2.4ghz hott 12 channel system

New manual available. Sounds like a winner if it's like the MC-20 one.

"Guys, there is a new MZ-24 user manual, way better with the same structure as the MC-20 manual.... download it from www.openhobby.com..... also updated my TX with latest version 1.024 firmware.... better things..... someone is really thinking and using common sense....<br />
There is still things missing like logical switches an channel sequencing but is really good now....<br/> "

For those who don't know.

There is a blog on RCGroups that Mannie from Open Hobbies frequents. Worthwhile reading.

Re: graupner/sj mz-24 2.4ghz hott 12 channel system

Looks like an impending update from Graupner. Guessing it will be some parallel to Model Match.

Read linked post and subsequent:

Re: graupner/sj mz-24 2.4ghz hott 12 channel system

Just did the update. All updated Graupner radios now have function that works like Spektrum Model Match. Previously, Rx's that were not technically bound to current model slot selection would still function if powered on.

This has been corrected along with several updates to the MZ-18 and MZ-24
