+1 for the Dynatron with piggy backed Li battery. Pretty much starts anything.

I used a Sullivan Hi-Torx for years and it worked great up to about 26cc (1.60 cid) on a cord and banana plugs. Would probably twisted even harder with a LiPo. Never tried it. Still works great though.

Best starter I have ever used and I have used them all. When you put a power pack on it everyone at the field wants to borrow it.

I will like a starter that will last and start various size engines.
I've ran both, the deluxe worked great for me up to 1.2 four strokes in planes but I purchased a dynatron for my heli's as the deluxe could not turn over the 90 size nitro's. Don't worry about gassers, I run 30cc to 170cc and with the electronic ignitions I hand flip them all except for a problem child DLE-30....

With the dynatron it comes down to the battery supply, if your using a small gel cell your performance will vary. I set up mine with a makita lion mount so I can use my 18v makita batteries, a tad too much performance but you get used to it. Most use a 4s lipo.
RV-8'ting and loving it!!

Re: EngineStarter Recommendations

I don't know anyone who starts a gasser with a starter. I personally like my carbon spinners to stay shiny and not get the starter ring on it.

Real men grow a pair and start the engine by flipping it.

Glows. Ya I can see the desire to start a little engine with one. But no way will I be putting a starter to my 170 dollar prop or 150 dollar spinner.
