What happened to Electric combat planes that MAAC did an article on. They were like a twin boom p38 with a single motor in the front.

They are called Funder & Lightning
I built a larger one with an air foil wing that I got stuck in a tree after combat. Then I build a bigger heavier one this winter. They fly great off a 150 watt motor.This big one is getting a 425 watt
If you're planning on way-overpowering your plane and "flying like a maniac", you might consider gluing the tail feathers down to avoid flutter.
