Need help

Hello members. I'm new to boats and in need of assistance
I have a boat, but not sure what make it is, but I'm including some pictures.
I tried running it for the first time and in 60 seconds I fried the speed controller which you'll see in one of the pictures. It's red and it's the Traxxas XL-1.
Any suggestions on where I can buy another one in the GTA or from RCCANADA?

Re: Need help

It's an early Traxxas Villain, the esc was set up to run two batteries in parallel giving 7.2v to the motors for longer runtimes on the older lower capacity nicads.
The newer "ex" esc uses two packs in series for 14.4v with 550 motors.
It would probably be a lot easier to find a Proboat esc for it and you wont need the extra receiver battery anymore.
The cowl should be taped when you run to help stop water coming in.
Any idea why the old one fried?
