I have a couple of units like this. I used a standard house wiring light dimmer, 16V center tap transformer. a single pole double throw switch and a project box. The bigger one will handle .032" stainless steel locking wire, .025 would be better. If you add a rectifier it makes a good battery charger.

I have a cnc foam cutter I have cut some wings, easy to use pm me I would be willing to do a bit of cutting you supply the foam
