Just to clarify the N5C takes 620 mains and flys lighter then most other 50 size heli's there is no reason to touch it. If you'd like you can run 570's-600's-620's take your pick , tails are rated up to 106 size. It's big in size but very roomy under the canopy. Put a governor on it , dial it in, set the headspeed to 2000 and start there.
Motors, use an O.S. 50 if you like with the smaller blades and still have a power house, run a YS 60 and have your hands full. The choice is yours, I was actually going Rossi .57 myself.

Yeah, I know ... I just wanted something more compact / portable but I have decided to keep it stock and run 606s.

I spoke with Matt about it a bit today, and while it's possible, I'd need to get the headspeed up which means I'd need to find a pinion / gearing that would work. I have someone that would make me a pinion but right now I just want to fly. Also, being a team member, I need to present the product as it is ... which means I wouldn't be able to show this at events making it strictly a practice model.

I've got an OS 55HZ-H and Hatori pipe already on the way. Servos I have on hand, I'm going to try the new MKS HV Coreless servos (retail $90 USD!) and run Rail 606s.

I stole one of my team mates N5C machines .... he disassembled it this evening and shipping it out me. :P

The decision now is, run 22.5% like my OS 105HZR equipped N7 or run 30% which I have an abundance of from my NX4. I'm leaning towards 30%

What are you doing this weekend Jimmy?

Re: Synergy N5C t\t

22.5 nitro in your 105, eh there jetted to run 15% , no wonder your having trouble, running to hot . I'm not here to argue but if you put a head shim in to lower compression and include the extra volume of fuel it would run a lot better.
I have my grandkid all weekend.

Re: Synergy N5C t\t

Think my N5C is sidelined for a bit nine heli's later I have enough. I have five nitro's and have decided to make it sixe, therefore the extra grand I need to complete it will be over the winter months.

Your advice is falling on deaf ears. He was banned from the site.

And you must be mistaken because he was told by Matt Botos and Rob Cherry to run 22.5% because the Team Synergy family takes care of their own and can't be wrong.

Re: Synergy N5C t\t

Oh, plus if you mix 15% and 30% because 20% isn't close enough, you can dump that stuff right in your generator too.

Re: Synergy N5C t\t

Yah, especially when they have two containers that look the same and they get mixed up.

But you wouldn't know about that because you never make mistakes, right? Like borrowing a buddies helicopter at an event and doing an "auto-rotation" in front of a very large crowd so hard the helicopter almost needs a rekit from the volume of damage?
