Buying used

I'm looking for a used MBX6/7 Eco or MBX6/7t

However, I'm pretty new to RC's and although I've seen some good deals (mostly in US though), I'm hesitant to pull the trigger.
I understand that buying used is always a risk, and buying used via the web even more, but are there any specific things I should look out for?

Re: Buying used

With a race car/truck like those two, I usually try to judge how much use they've seen by looking at the bottom of the chassis. Is it scratched up quite a bit and worn out under the rear diff? Take a look at the electronics and how they are wired, are they neat, heat shrinked, and as short as possible with the wiring? For me, ANY electrical tape anywhere is a no go... How dirty is the vehicle in the pictures? If there's spare parts included, are they neatly bagged and organized, or just piled in a toolbox or carry case? All of these will give you an idea of how the person took care of it. I wouldn't guess it would be an issue with those two rigs in particular, but I will never buy another car from a non-adult without having a hands-on look first. Pay attention to feedback scores, and always remember to leave feedback yourself. If you'd like, PM me the links and I can help you out with anything I might see...
