1/16 Slash 4x4 doesn't run forward, only runs in reverse

I have a 1/16 Slash 4x4 Brushed and everything was working fine but all of a sudden the truck doesn't respond when ipress on the throttle. It only works if I attempt to go in reverse. Steering still reposnds properly so the only thing not working is going forward. When pressing on the throttle to go forward it doesn't respond whatsoever and amkes no noise.

I'm new to RC but I've done everything that i could think of:

Disconnected and reconnected the cables to the Motor & Esc,
Reset the ESC to the Factory Default
Checked the Rx box to make sure everything is plugged in
Clean the Brushed Motor to make sure nothing is stock in the motor

I cna't think of anything else, I'm assuming its the Motor but then again it could be the ESC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you check to see if your ESC is in sport mode, meaning not training or race mode? That would be one red blink on the ESC. In race mode there is no reverse, so I was thinking maybe you have it in race mode and something else is reversed then that would be your problem.

If you don't know what I mean:

Turn on transmitter, connect a batt, then with the esc off, press and hold esc ez-set button down until it turns solid green, then solid red, then begins blinking red, when the esc blinks once- release the ez-set button, it is now in sport mode with forward, revers, and brakes. (a good way to make sure u are releasing button at right time is to let it cycle thru, meaning hold button down and watch it blink once, then it will blink twice, then blink 3 times, then blink once again and that's when u let it go)
