The Senior is a much better 1st powered plane option, much more forgiving and stable. Ailerons on a 1st plane is WAY over rated in my opinion. Simpler is always better.
The LT 40 will work but you will need more help for a longer duration to get comfortable with it.
P.S. Take a hard look at the Senior's little brother... the Seniorita! Same size as the LT 40, 2/3ds the weight, flies really well on a .30 4 st, 25 2 st or E flite .15! Very close in easy handling to the Senior!
Hang time does not apply to ceiling fans, light fixtures, overhead door tracks or basketball nets!
