Re: Budapest Airshow...WOW

Some how I don't think that it COULD have happened in North America... our safety regulations just would not have allowed that sort of stuff over a populated area.

But it was great to watch!

Re: Budapest Airshow...WOW

It was very nice but I think the flying / stunts were performed over the river & not the city. I attended an air show in Cozumel Mexico where we were just a few meters from the runway, and it seems there is at least one other venue in Mexico where the crowd is just a bit clear of the runway. Better yet I was wearing my IMAA Rally of the Giants T Shirt & the security people in one area thought I was with the show & kept people out of my way so I could get a clear view to take photos.
My guide to R/C photography.

Re: Budapest Airshow...WOW

yeah safer over the river, because plane only fall straight down&n when they crash, never off to the side

Have visited Budapest a few times. Danube River isn't all that wide, but I would not hesitate to be a spectator for such a spectacular show. Our nearby RC field is probably at least as wide as the Danube, yet I have seen a half dozen guys crash their model planes outside the field somehow.

Re: Budapest Airshow...WOW

That's just fricken incredible.

I love Canada. But like said above. Nothing amazing like that would ever happen in North America. Seeing that makes me want to go there to see it in person one day. Looks like a beautiful city.

Just incredible.

Re: Budapest Airshow...WOW

The show Toronto used to have at the water front was excellent. I'm told it's still on, I haven't been for over 15 years. But the crash and sponsor money ran dry. ... So I assume it fizzled because of $$$$
and at night with the symphony of fire. Just amazing.

This is an awesome video thanks for sharing
