tire upgrade

New to the sport. My son and I bought a Summit and Telluride.

I am looking for some advice on upgrading the tires. I was looking at the Interco super swampers. I would like to just get a rim and tire package if possible. What size rims and tires are best? Is there a better mud/off road tire? Thanks.

Re: tire upgrade

Are you looking for tires for the telluride, the summit, or both?

Proline has a good selection of pre-mounted tires available, for the telluride make sure you get the SC ones with a slash 4x4 offset. The protrac/scte offset wheels will narrow the track width quite a bit. I don't think a normal 2.2 wheel will fit on the telluride, which is why you need to pick up short course (SC) wheels.

For the summit, same thing goes, proline has a great selection available of premounted tires, get the ones with the 1/2" offset to keep the same track width as stock.

If you go to Proline's website, you can "pick by kit" to see what tire options they have available that fit each of those rigs specifically.

I haven't had any experience with the interco tires myself, but they look like a decent choice. I've always prefered proline trenchers for a good off-road choice, they have big lugs that are spread out enough to plug up less often in the sticky stuff.

Re: tire upgrade

I would either get Trenchers or Bad Lands for the Summit, Or Intercos.
Bad Lands are probably as good as it gets for Off road and some crawling.
