Yes, use a standard watt meter to see what is really happening. They are a cheap and useful tool.

I will check with a wattmeter when I get home...

Also the arc motor in the changesun fan is a brand new motor I had laying around so this may tell me if the motor is either mislabelled or faulty. This motor shouldn't be running at such high amperage so using another motor in another fan shouldn't pull more amps, but the amps the motor should be pulling, which is I'm assuming under 150 at least.

Run that motor in CS fan at your own risk, depending on the version you are right at the limit of a possible failure. You also run the risk of burning up your new motor, how many amps is that motor rated to handle?
