So, as I'm going with two elevator servos, and pull pull rudder setup, I needed to run the cables for the rudder, check for interference, and then add some balsa to allow for the covering. All went fast, so that's done. Then it was on to covering the vertical stab, elevators, and rudder. Horizontal stab will be next.

Re: PICA 1/5th WACO

OK, got the white stripe on the side done this morning, before heading off to the Afghan Memorial. Kept my mind focused on planes, rather than the ceremony, great therapy! So, now I have to shape the headrest/turtledeck, cover it, and carry on with the black on the rest of the fuse.

Fuse covering is coming along, got the turtledeck done, and covered, as well as the top of the fuse. Slow going, but fun!

Re: PICA 1/5th WACO

You can scratch build one, the plans come with all the required templates to do so! I like the Pica kits, they were a bit overbuilt for their time, so handle gassers quite nicely! I'd love to see more of them around, that's for sure.

Re: PICA 1/5th WACO

Fuse and tail are all covered! I'll set that aside for a bit, and finish the wings, install ailerons, servos, wires, etc, and then get ready to cover them.

It's looking really good Dave. Going to be a crowd pleaser next summer.
