Wing Tubes For A Scratch Build A10 30lbs-98"WS

I am looking to what will be required to make the wing of my A10 scratch build in to sections that can be assembled with wing tubes and then bolted to the fuselage. This A10 will weigh about 30lbs when done, have a 98" wingspan. The center wing section is about 36 inches wide, the outside sections of the wing are swept up at about 7 degres being 36 inches each. I am looking to join the wing at the center under the fuselage. I was thinking of using two wing tubes that will join the wings as shown in the attached images. Attached is an image of the wing design and cross section.

Can you builders out there offer any solutions that would work to support this airframe. Is cardboard tubes and aluminum rods the way to go? Carbon fibre? Plastic tubes / rods? I would be very greatful for

Graphtech makes a variety of carbon tubes that are excellent quality and amazingly light.

The only drawback with graphtech is that they are all hand layed and they work really slow.

If you can afford the time, give them a try.

I had them make custom landing gears and wing tubes for me. All are amazing quality.

You can get some telescoping aluminum tube from Aircraft Spruce in Brampton 6061-T6 is the stuff you want. Check out your local aircraft supplier, home builders and ultra-light outfits.
