Well some of the updates were good like the radio beeps at you when you select a wrong model because it's like futabah where there's no model match stuff like that. There is a lot of good features on the radio.

Re: Whats up with futaba

Agree ... If you can get your head into programming the Taranis is well worth a look.

OpenTX and the new scripting options are potentially the future for the hobby according to many. CompanionTX makes it all easy.

Still, it is different to be telling your TX and RX what you expect them to do rather than having others say that they know better.

It is worth it to check out Scott Page's new videos "OpenTX and Beyond" now at Episode 3.

Have had the Graupner MC-20 and MX-20 for a while now. Absolutely no issue with signal. Telemetry logs show it seldom goes below 95% Control Signal (Tx to Rx) even when at far end of field and Telemetry Signal (Rx to Tx) is down to 25% or less. Packet losses are always under 100 and it would need to go to 2000 before there is a danger of a Hold.

BTW, Brownout is a symptom of weak Rx battery power and is user error or malfunctioning component (ie: bad servo). The HoTT Rx will operate all the way down to 2.5 volts, much lower than servos will stop operating at.

Electric flying is pretty much seeing how close to a dead short you can run without setting it on fire.
