I tested my jeti up to 2000 feet with a fiberglass fuse. I just took a 7 ch jeti receiver and taped the antenna on the inside of the fiberglass fuse. signal strength great at 2000 feet

Already bought a Hitec so I will set the rudder at 15 % from center and go for a sail on a slough this spring, thanks again.

Fiberglass is transparent to radio waves. Unless someone added some carbon filler to it, there should be no problems.

Easy way to determine if a material will interfere: determine if it's conductive. Carbon fibre, metallic paints, metal foils will all conduct and block RF to varying degrees.
