That will be an interesting build all right. Yes the 102 was the start of the jetliners even in a small way. If I recall correctly the range was its shortcoming once the square cabin windows were changed to round due to fuse cracking.

The biggest advancement in Canadian aviation was the AVRO Arrow but that was unofficially killed by the U.S. Air Force (US. Government) because the U.S. were
So far behind in fighter/bomber development and back then the U.S. AF would always and only buy , US made military aircraft. The only real force support Canadian aviation got was the US army. I remember seeing a video taken many years ago of the Caribou that landed in a U.S. ball field and turned around and took off just to show how good it was and shortly after that the US army put in an offer for a whole bunch.

Yes , Bombardier being a private company with lots of dollar backing and lots of smart guys behind the reins did a great job in the progress of private aviation in their own nitch . An interesting read if you google Bombardier to see how they
Progressed over the years from the first tracked vehicles for snow conditions up to the current ski hill grooming equipment including public transit, water vehicles , motorcycles and aviation including engines. Quite a success story .

"Because the U.S. were So far Behind in Fighter Bomber Development"

I want Every Canadian here to please Note these five American aircraft:

1. Is the North American A5 Vigilante from 1958 ( Same year as the Arrow)

2. Is the Convair B-58 Hustler from 1956 (two years before the Arrow)

3. Is the F-106 Dart, from 1956 (two years Before The Arrow)

4. Is the F-104 Starfighter Flew In 1954

5. Is the F-4 Phantom Flew in 1958 (same year as the Arrow)

6. Is the Bell X-2 Flew in 1955 (Three years before the Arrow) and Achieved Mach-3

All of these American aircraft flew Faster, Higher, and had longer range than the Avro Arrow EVER achieved In flight . . . . . Sorry Stegl

Sorry I had to do that to you Son!

Yes but they were American garbage. At least we were not stupid enough to buy them.

The B-58 and A5 Vigilante were not garbage Sir. . . . . They both entered service and we're successful.

The Avro Arrow was chopped-up and melted-down into Canadian cutlery sets. Lol

Re: RC C-102 Avro JetLiner Build!

Look I respect the fact that this is a Canadian RC-forum. . . . . . But that does - not mean I must tolerate or accept Canadian-disinformation & lies.

Now let's get back to this Avro-Canada C-102 Jetliner.

Re: RC C-102 Avro JetLiner Build!

I'll bow out of this one. We don't need the American arrogance.

Bowing down is a smart move my boy. . . . It's very cold in Canada at the moment. . . Save your strength son & stay warm. . . .
. . .& Leave the building of Canadian RC aircraft to professionals like me.. . . Next I'll build the Arrow lol

Re: RC C-102 Avro JetLiner Build!

There seems to be some confusion here with my Canadian freinds. . . . .

. ..... . This thread is for the Avro C-102 Jetliner. . . . . NOT the Avro Arrow.
