Kondor Models 90 mm F-18 kit

Just a quick request, anyone build one of these. While I'm here in the states, figured I'd order one as the postage is half the price if I ordered it in Canada. It's a pretty old kit design, they originally had two 90 mm EDF's. I say somewhere a build post for it and a conversion to a single 90 mm unit but I cannot seem to locate that thread now.

There's no rush, not returning to Canada until the end of March, so will be bringing it home to put together at that time.

Figure I would use the 90 mm JetFan I bought a few years ago, Mega Acn 22/35/1.5ES MOTOR, 100 AMP ESC, and a 7 or 8 cell battery. But then, a twin 70 mm will work as well.

Here's the twin EDF setup they sold with the original model when it was released, really old style of impeller.

Figuring on this scheme, fairly straight forward. The other demo schemes are just too much to replicate for a foam plane.

Re: Kondor Models 90 mm F-18 kit

I believe it is the Haoye model. Very large! I also believe it is the same as the Jepe version they sell.
The colour scheme should help with visibility.

Sounds like one powerful 90mm or two 70mm is suitable for power.
Perhaps two average 90mm might work even better!

Re: Kondor Models 90 mm F-18 kit

It was also sold here under the KMP badge. I got one from Bob Byrnes a while back and built it as a 70mm twin, but my maiden went horribly wrong. It's repairable but that project is on the back burner for now.

Re: Kondor Models 90 mm F-18 kit

I've got one John- it is for sure the Haoye model. Give KMP a call before you order as I don't think they have any left, which is a shame as it's a decent airframe, though needing a lot of work. Let us know if you find one.

Re: Kondor Models 90 mm F-18 kit

Well To , I hope they do have one in stock, they took my money fast enough 😀 I tried ordering one last summer while at home in Toronto, but they didn't want to ship it to me for the advertised postage. Even though they are a Canadian company, at least I think they are, their stock was from a U.S. warehouse and the postage was about double, so I cancelled. Anyway, I hope to get it so I can drive it back with me in March.
